The title "Du Och Jag Döden" translates to "You and I Death" and death is the main theme behind the album. Du Och Jag Doden and its singles were very well received and the album is considered to be one of Kent's best. The last track, Mannen I Den Vita Hatten (16 år Senare), is also considered to be one of Kent's best songs and became Kent's new concert closing song, replacing 747 which had previously ended every Kent concert for eight years.
